I guess this won't be the last time I draw Frances McDormand since she turns up in at least six Coen Brother's films. This is her first time working with them - and their first film - as Abby in Blood Simple.
The wonderful Jon Polito as Creighton Jolliver in The Man Who Wasn't There. The Coen's use Polito a number of times, at least 4 and I'm sure they would've continued using him had he not sadly passed away.
Dan Hedaya as Marty in Blood Simple, the Coen Brother's very first film. Great way to start your career. Actually the character's name is Julien Marty but he's only ever referred to as Marty. Is it just me or would Dan Hedaya make a great Richard Nixon? Maybe it was all the sweating he was doing in the film.

J E Freeman as Eddie Dane Eddie Dane from Miller's Crossing. Absolute class film. One of the best films you're ever likely to watch. That said, I don't think I'd even be able to rate it in my top 5 favourite Coen Brother films. That's not dissing the film, that's just how good a filmography those guys have.

That's right, Jeff Bridges isn't The Big Lebowski - he's The Dude (etc). The Big Lebowski is the other Lebowski, the apparently rich Lebowski played by David Huddleston. Here he is about to prove he is in fact a cripple even though Walter's "seen a lot of spinals" and has "never been more certain of anything in his f•••ing life".

Catherine doesn't like this one so much, and really, it's Steve Buscemi, I probly shld've gone a lot harder. Also it's odd that Donny would be cheerful like this, normally he has a confused look on his face, doesn't really know what's going on and being told to shut the f••• up. This is taken from one of the first shots we see of him, right at the beginning of the film where he gets a strike. From there it's all downhill.
